Please note the notice regarding the Gramasabha notification held in the month of June as per the pre-arrangement of 2026. Every year, notifications for Gramasabhas are given in this manner, and Gramasabha meetings are convened at the place and time determined for the convenience of the general public in the ward.
What is a Gramasabha? The Gramasabha consists of all persons whose names are registered in the electoral roll pertaining to the area of the village panchayat.
Member: All voters of the ward are members.
Convener: Ward Member/Councillor.
Chairperson: Panchayat President/Municipal Chairperson.
Convening Meetings: Responsibility of the Convener.
Quorum: 10% of total voters (50 members for an adjourned meeting).
Special Meeting: Within 15 days if requested in writing by 10% of voters.
Coordinator: An assigned officer will assist the convener.
Questions/Suggestions: Can be submitted in writing before or during the meeting.
Resolutions: Can be passed on a majority basis.
