About Activities
The Gender Resource Centre is a women's empowerment and gender justice center operating under the Kudumbashree Model CDS with the cooperation of Neezhoor Grama Panchayat. The GRC office operates in close proximity to the Panchayat. The office functions two days a week and provides counseling services. It provides necessary guidance and support to elevate the status of women.
Awareness Classes
Awareness classes are conducted up to the ADS-CDS-Kudumbashree level based on topics such as substance abuse, dowry, domestic violence, and adolescent issues. Gender clubs, gender status, and gender awareness classes are also conducted.
Support and Counseling
Visits are made to isolated elderly individuals, victims of violence, and those suffering from depression, providing them with necessary psychological and legal support. Counseling services are provided to individuals and their families.
Vigilant Group and Calling Bell
A Vigilant Group operates under the GRC to prevent violence against women and children and to provide necessary support and assistance for their protection. In association with Snehitha and GRC, the Snehitha Calling Bell operates for those who have no one to protect them, maintaining contact with members directly and through tele-counseling as much as possible.
Management Committee
A management committee exists to direct and supervise the daily activities of the Gender Resource Centre.
