Kudumbashree State Poverty Eradication Mission is an innovative system formed by the State Local Self Government Department in 1998 with the objective of eradicating poverty.
Taking poverty eradication as its primary responsibility, this mission implements its activities through a community-based organizational system formed under the leadership of local self-government institutions.
As Kudumbashree's activities have grown strong and extensive, it has transformed into a powerful organizational system of women for realizing the goals of economic, social, and women empowerment.
