Anti-Drug Awareness Activities
Anti-Drug Awareness Initiatives under Operation Toofan
With the objective of strengthening awareness and preventive measures against the spread of substance abuse with public participation, Neezhoor Grama Panchayat, under its auspices and in cooperation with the Kerala Police, Excise Department, and other relevant systems, is organizing various anti-drug activities.
By engaging students, youth, parents, Kudumbashree members, voluntary organizations, and the general public, these activities aim to spread the anti-drug message to all levels of society.
Key Awareness Activities
School – College Level Campaigns
Awareness classes led by experts, seminars, poster competitions, and other events are organized to educate students about the physical and psychological impacts of drugs.
Kudumbashree – Neighborhood Group Awareness
Special awareness meetings are conducted for parents, Kudumbashree, and neighborhood group members to identify behavioral changes in children early and prevent drug use.
Cultural – Recreational Programs
Youth and the general public are engaged in anti-drug activities through anti-drug street plays, awareness rallies, sports competitions, and cultural programs.
Counseling and De-Addiction Support
Working in coordination with relevant counseling and de-addiction systems to provide necessary guidance and support to individuals and families facing issues related to drug use.
