As part of the 11th National Ayurveda Day celebration, under the joint auspices of all government Ayurveda institutions in the Kaduthuruthy region, the Ayurveda Day celebration was held on September 28, 2026, at the Neezhoor Panchayat Community Hall.
Dr. Saritha T.K. welcomed the gathering. Neezhoor Grama Panchayat President Cherian K. Jose presided over the function. Kaduthuruthy Constituency Hon. Minister for Water Resources and Housing, Adv. Mons Joseph, inaugurated the program.
Dr. Antony Jose, S.M.O. at the Kadaplamattom Government Ayurveda Dispensary, delivered the Ayurveda Day message and mental health awareness talk. Dr. Lilly Jacob, Medical Officer at the Kaduthuruthy Government Ayurveda Dispensary, explained various topics related to Ayurveda.
As part of the program, a yoga demonstration was also organized. Following this, prizes were distributed to the children who participated in various events.
National Ayush Mission Kottayam D.P.M. Dr. Jewel Jose and Veliyanoor Government Ayurveda Hospital C.M.O. Dr. Rajashree P. extended felicitations.
A special Ayurveda medical camp was also organized for women's ailments, eye diseases, and rheumatic conditions. As part of the camp, free Hb, RBS, and BMI tests were also provided.
The program helped create greater public awareness about Ayurveda treatment methods and healthy lifestyles. The celebration, organized with the active participation of local people, was noteworthy.
Over 250 people participated in the program. The event served as an inspiration for further activities to spread the health care message of Ayurveda to the public.
