🤝 Against Drugs with People's Participation
As part of the Operation Toofan project, to intensify anti-drug activities at the ward level and ensure public participation, 'Toofan Grama Sabha' is being organized in all wards of Neezhoor Grama Panchayat.
The objective of this special Grama Sabha is to ensure the collective involvement and cooperation of the people in each ward to build a drug-free and safe society.
🎯 Key Objectives and Activities
Strengthen Vigilance Committees
Activate ward-level vigilance committees to undertake necessary collective actions to prevent drug activities and strengthen social monitoring.
Monitoring of Areas
Plan vigilance measures to prevent drug trafficking around school premises and suspicious locations, and bring them to the attention of relevant authorities.
Awareness Activities
Organize awareness classes and discussions for children, youth, and parents on the harmful effects of drugs.
Rehabilitation Support
Form local collectives to identify individuals addicted to drugs and provide necessary counseling, treatment, and rehabilitation.

The active participation of public representatives, Kudumbashree workers, teachers, parents, youth, voluntary organizations, social workers, and locals is crucial for the success of the Toofan Grama Sabha.
